You have seen countless such orbs created in Photoshop, but here is how you create them in Flash.




Create a new document in flash of size 400px by 400px.



Rename the current layer (layer1) to base. Now choose the oval tool (O) from the toolbar and with the following settings…



…draw out a circle as shown:



Now we will fill the circle with a gradient. Make sure that the color mixer settings panel is open and apply the following settings onto it. (Remember to keep the circle layer selected):



Now our gradient will look like this:



Well, this is not the gradient direction we want. So choose the gradient transform tool(F) and rotate the gradient by pulling the rotate handle clockwise as shown.



You should end up with this:
